In its landmark defense of Chase Iron Eyes, the Lakota People’s Law Project legal team compiled thousands of pages of documentation during trial preparation. This documentation demonstrates that Dakota Access pipeline parent company Energy Transfer Partners and mercenary security firm TigerSwan violated the civil liberties the people of Standing Rock are granted under the Federal Civil Rights Act. It also shows that the pipeline posed an existential threat to the tribe by jeopardizing its primary source of fresh drinking water.

The defense team has released 180+ pages of documentation to ensure evidence in this case is protected and accessible in the public record so people know the truth about what really happened at Standing Rock.
