In response to the discussion surrounding police violence against marginalized communities in the United States, LPLP pens the Native Lives Matter report to detail the statistical frequency at which Native Americans are brutalized or killed by the police.

We aim to influence a public discourse that routinely ignores the fact that Native Americans suffer the most adverse effects of a structurally unjust criminal justice system. Proportionally, Native Americans are the most likely racial group to be killed by the police. Native American men are admitted to prison at four times the rate of white men, and Native women at six-fold the rate of white women.
