Over the past several months, the Lakota Law team assisted the Oglala Sioux Tribe with pro-bono legal support to protect water, including working with Dr. Hannan LaGarry to perform critical assessments of surface water. After more than 1000 hours of donated time, the results are in, and they are troubling. We have submitted a comprehensive report to the tribe detailing varying levels of contamination from uranium, mercury, and other chemicals in surface water supplies. This video demonstrates our work.
