Last week, some of Lakota Law's team was fortunate enough to join former Timbisha Shoshone Chairman Jimmy-John Thompson on his visit with leaders from the Sovereign Nation of Hawai'i.

Two of the Nation's leaders, Dennis "Bumpy" Kanahele and Brandon Maka’awa’awa, shared with us about their history and some of the challenges faced by Native Hawai'ians as they reclaim and replenish their traditional lands.
